Our
Mission

Patients today have access to more health information than ever before, yet understanding that information has become increasingly difficult.

Laboratory results, medical research, genetic testing, imaging reports, diagnoses, treatment options, and online health advice are often presented in ways that are confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to apply to real-life decisions. This gap in understanding can contribute to uncertainty, mistrust, and missed opportunities for patients to actively participate in their care.

The Translated Health Initiative exists to make medicine more understandable. We create clear, visual, evidence-based educational resources that help patients understand health conditions, laboratory testing, genetics, medical research, treatments, and preventive health. Our goal is not simply to provide information, but to explain the science behind that information in ways that are accurate, accessible, and meaningful.

We believe patients should not need a medical degree to understand what is happening in their own bodies. When patients understand their health, they are better equipped to ask questions, make informed decisions, build trust with their healthcare team, and become active partners in their care. Understanding is the foundation of better health.
